A Bookworm Post: 2015 Wrap Up, 2016 Reading Goals.

Image
Hello my beautiful readers, I am sorry that this post is very late but unfortunately my laptop has been playing up so I was unable to post this any sooner. I do have good news though and that is I should be getting a new laptop very soon, now lets get on to my  2015 wrap up and 2016 reading goals post.  Last year I read 10 books and yes I know what your thinking only 10!! That's ridiculous but there is a reason for that. I suffer from multiple health problems that have no cure so to manage the symptoms I have to take certain medications and these medications cause side effects which in turn means I am not able to read that quick or that well.  Right that's the explaination out of the way now lets get on. Below you will find all ten books that I read last year with my rating out of 5, I will also post the link to the books goodreads page that way you can read the  synopsis  and find out what other people thought about the book.  1) Band of Brothe...

Hello my beautiful friends and Happy New Year to you all.  I know that I am posting this later then everyone else in the blogging community but I kept going back and forth on my decision to post this but I thought everybody else is doing these post so why I can't I. Sorry for the blurry picture had a technical difficulty From my parents I received 3 gifts this year, a Molton Brown Christmas bauble in the scent Blossom Honeysuckle and White Tea which is one of my favourite Molton Brown scents, the Canon EF  50mm f1.8 STM lens which has been top of my lense wishlist for a while now and the final gift was Mrs Brown's Boy's D'Movie which I never got to see when it was in the cinema.  From my younger sister I received 2 gifts. The newest Urban Decay naked palette which I think is going to be my favourite one out of all of them and the very first book that Kat Von D released, High Voltage tattoos. Kat Von D is an inspiration to me and it is my dream to get a...

Halloween Yankee Candle Haul

Image
Hello my beautiful readers I hope you are all having a good day. As you can see by the title of today's post it is a Halloween Yankee Candle haul from Yankee Candle direct. U nfortunately h ere in the UK we don't have big a selection of Halloween things but I did manage to get my hands on a few things. The first items I am going to show you are the 3 super cute glass votive holders which I thought would look prefect on my windowsill. They only do three styles votive holders, the pumpkin, the skull and the monster which really does remind me on Frankenstein. The price of these votive holders is £6.99 but with it being so close to Halloween now you might find that places are selling them at a discounted price. Pumpkin  Skull Monster My other purchases were the Halloween edition wax tarts in Candy Corn and Witches Brew. Each wax tart cost £1.49  but like I said previously with it being so close to Halloween now you might find that places are selling them...

Bookworm Thursday || I am a bookaholic

Image
Hello everyone my name is Leona and I am a Bookaholic. Welcome to my very first Bookworm Thursday blog post.  As you all know this blog is where I post about all my favourite things and one of those things is books. I have had of love of books since I was a teen but over the past 6 years I haven't been able to read as much as I would like because of the medication that I take for my health problems. The meds as well as constantly battling with malnutrition takes it toll on my brain and I end up having brain fog as well as trouble concentrating which means that sometimes there is long periods of time where I can't read. It really does suck when this happens because I love to dive into a good book and forget all my troubles.  So what will I be doing for my bookworm blog posts you may ask, well I will be sharing with you my to be read books, hauls, reviews, wishlists and tags. There is one more thing that I wanted to mention before I go and that is last month I fi...

Image
Hello my beautiful readers, I hope you are all having a good day. My pick for today's Tunesday is All We Know by Paramore. I chose this song because on the 26th July Paramore's debut album All We Know is Falling turned 10 years old. I honestly cannot believe that it's 10 years since they released their very first album, it makes me feel so old lol. :D That's it for today's blog post, I have placed links to all of Paramore's social media at the bottom of the page so u ntil my next post remember to stay happy and positive. Just because you have a chronic illness, cancer, scars, an ostomy,  a hickmen line, a picc line, a feeding tube or have had an amputation, it  does  not  mean that you are not a beautiful person. Tunesday #2 The Script

Image
Hello my beautiful reader's I hope you are all having a good day. As you can gather by the title, today I am posting a Tunesday. For today's tune I have pick The Script's most recent release Man on a Wire from their newest album No Songs Without Silence which was released last year.  I was inspired to pick The Script for this week's Tunesday as this Saturday they will be playing to 72,000 people at Croke Park in Dublin. Now I would be lying if I said I wasn't jealous of all those 72,000 people because I have been a fan of The Script's music since they released their first album in 2008.  And one more thing before I go if you don't believe that all the band did all their own stunts then check out this video  https://youtu.be/Oq2YtJYbze4 Okay so that is it for today's post, thank you very much for reading and until my next post remember to stay happy and positive. Just because you have a chronic illness, cancer, scars, an ostomy,  a hi...
